Jamey Gremillion, along with his wife and four children, left a productive pastorate in Morgantown, West Virginia to join the faculty of Ohio Christian University in 2012, where he now serves as Assistant Professor of Intercultural Ministries and course instructor in biblical studies. Friend and colleague, Professor Gerald Mershimer, notes Jamey’s passion for world evangelization saying, “If you cut him, he bleeds missions.” A trained pilot, his initial goals included a career as a missionary aviator, but when God redirected his life to the field of pastoral ministry, he quickly transitioned to the role of being a pastor who mobilizes laity for the work of missions. Congregations in four states and two different denominations have experienced his stellar leadership and passionate zeal to reach a lost and broken world for Christ. Very hands on, Jamey annually coordinates and leads inner city ministry trips to places like Cincinnati, Ohio, Indianapolis, Indiana and New York, City.
International mission campaigns are also part of his annual ministry agenda. In the summer of 2014 fifteen Ohio Christian University students hit the streets of San Jose, joining Face of Justice Ministries, a non-profit organization in Costa Rica in their fight against the rampant sex trafficking industry located in that country. Whether instructing pastors in Myanmar, Burma, participating in the development of wells and orphanages in remote, Togo, Africa, leading a Youth for Christ mission trip to Honduras, or providing backpacks for underprivileged schoolchildren in his local community, Professor Jamey Gremillion is a winsome witness for Christ on a worldwide scale. When not teaching or traveling nothing gives more pleasure than hunting, fishing, hiking, wood working and spending time with his family. A delightful preacher and speaker, Jamey shares the authentic love of Christ wherever he goes.
