Today kicks off the celebration of Black History Month! We are honoring some of the most influential figures that contributed to the achievements of African American throughout history. These figures have played a huge role in movements that fought for equal rights such as the abolitionism and civil rights.
Today we celebrate figures such as Frederick Douglass, William Lloyd, and Sojourner Truth who played a major role in the abolitionism movement. This movement sparked the emancipation of slaves and the end of racial discrimination and segregation in the United States.
